Climbing the ancient wild rose; Honeysuckles journey

Honey Suckle loves to hug!
The rose, she likes to bite!
But somehow they can climb and climb,
To reach the highest heights!

Wish I knew how to get along like that,
But they do go their seperate ways at the top! :D

Evening Primrose writing attempt #1 in the rough ?Could the moon do all of this?

Evening Primrose you sing to me;
Of the days before I knew you.
Evening Primrose you shine on me;
At night in my darkest hour.
Evening Primrose you're sent from beyond,
the greatest gift of ever and all.
Evening Primrose you light my way;
In the darkest of dark to the brand new day.
Evening Primrose you're my best friend,
From one that transended from beyond the bend.

With my fullest gratitude I ask for your bounty
With appreciation of our common ground!

(Now I am off to draw this, my partner and my friend)

Antigone Rising

Check out this aritist here;

my poetic try at abstraction; enjoy~~~

Antigone Flare

And again that Antigone, antagonist flare comes flashing by!
It's in the air and I can't say why.
It's on the super highway of the estuary sky.
It's in the aquamarine of the southern fly.

It only lasts an instant if you go through the wise of reasoning.
It lives and breaths among us like a sip of proper Riesling!
So come to the table and take a sip.
Then have your ever lasting just dessert.

Everything is Waiting for You

by David Whyte

Your great mistake is to act the drama as if you were alone.
As if life were a progressive and cunning crime with no witness to the tiny hidden transgressions.
To feel abandoned is to deny the intimacy of your surroundings.
Surely, even you, at times, have felt the grand array;
the swelling presence, and the chorus, crowding out your solo voice
You must note the way the soap dish enables you,
or the window latch grants you freedom.

Alertness is the hidden discipline of familiarity.
The stairs are your mentor of things to come,
The doors have always been there to frighten you and invite you,
And the tiny speaker in the phone is your dream-ladder to divinity.

Put down the weight of your aloneness and ease into the conversation.
The kettle is singing even as it pours you a drink,
The cooking pots have left their arrogant aloofness
And seen the good in you at last.
All the birds and creatures of the world are unutterably themselves.
Everything is waiting for you.

With Much Gratitude to Julie for sharing.

Spring Bliss

Walk down those Old Stairs!
Walk down and look at what is anew!

Singing,
"Summer Time, Summer Time,
Sum~Sum~Summer Time/---___"
"What, it's not summer?"
"Oh, Darn,,,,,,[big and quiet sigh]...
But the birds sung,,,, "...
";;;;oh,,,,"....
",,,,,, it's just about springtime?"...~~~...
"Spring time, springtime, Got a dime,
Need another.
Spring time, springtime~and it's mine
Like no bloomin' other!"

Have a fantastic Spring!

It's right downstairs and around the courner!

My Day; and the plants of my choice. Dan De Lion, Milk Thistle tea; Ginger, Cedar; Papaya, Pineapple and Banana

Grounding and Centering
With Dan De Lion and Miss M Thistle in hand'
Grounded, to the world and she reached out her hand.
Instantly Gingerly hungrily came
Papaya, Banana and Pineapple staved
Off hunger aroused in the ground
My being was sound and releiving
The piece of ginger brought tasteful sinsation
The cedar was then the next flavor not waisted.
The light of the day and the near coming moon.
To see is to benifit thee.; and make room.
Candlessence, in radiant light.
Bright night, oh bright night
Will we see the elighted sprite?

Spirit of thee and all who availe much,
Will sing of the night when the moon is so bright.
And the sun is on it's way home.
Thank you moon, thank you sky, thank you sun, thank you son,
Thank you life and light and evidence.
Peace:D

Is it under your nose, or under the sun? by Alli McD

Hello Out there in Cyberland! Happy New Year!

Growing up and out
Is really round about!
We learn then grow
Then out the window,
We climb then descend
It happens again!

We know what will happen
In most situations,
Say drinking gets us drunkin,
Say sunnin' gets us sunny
Or Burnt!

But the sun is essential
It is a part of our lives
Can't deny that no matter how
Much you try!
So then rain is an essence, so is air,
And the earth!
And there is buyer beware!
Which isn't just dearth.

Skip the junk isle and
Walk out the door!
Hit the road up to the closest out-of-door
Retreat to the forest, a stream, or a glen!
The ocean is finest if that's where you bend!

Drink it in,
Smell the sea!
Drink the water
Maybe tea?
I love kelp, do tell
All my mermaid friends as well!

Be fruitful, eat fruit;
Don't forget the wheat bran!
Be clarvoiant, be aware why you know who is looking
At you before you see them, oh what do you do?
You know by the senses of something too tacit
For most to comprend.
Is it instinct?
I think you know.
Why are we so curious, and so furious,
By the mention of it though?

So this is a new year for you to decide.
What will you make of the year to abide,
Life brings us measures, this is only one.
I hope your days are filled with everything under
The Sun!
(that you want)

Chose life, it's worth living!

Peace, love and adoration,

April Poem-a-day

Prompts in bold
April Poem-a-day
From; Nessa (tick the title to get there)

My Poems
April 1st
Beginnings

From Day to Night &
From Night to Day~
Where it all started
Is on the way.
New baby leaves
Springing
From their earthly beds
Will be dancing in Sunshine
Once Sun warms their little heads.

Feeling Free

The breeze
Does Remind me
Of winter’s long sleep.
Blow away coldness
Darnkess and sleep.
Freeing the spirits
To new early flight.
Not to my darkness
In solid delight.

April 3rd
a double entry (please except my apology, it sounds like I might be for it (in for it that is), but what I am is in knowledge of love and life and some of the feast and/or famine aspects of youth. Please forgive me if I offend.)I just know that, for me, if there is a place for a foot to enter my mouth in these kinds of situations, (ie. Questionable content? subject questioned, subjected question, you get the drift, there is a lot of room for pc error, ya know?) I’m your girl!

A Lover’s Triangle

3 is the magic number
Yes it is.
A man and a woman
One of them in trouble,
Yes indeed! one two three;
The man loved the lady
He brought a lot of favors,
Yes he did!
It's a magic something~~~
Man ~ woman ~ wife,
Husband in a plight,
Woman loves another,
Maybe.
Please don’t take my wife.
It’s a magic number.
(piano bridge please~~~)

What will they do?

Well now they might~~~

Man and the woman
Planted up a garden,
Yes they did!
It was magic numbers!
They planted all the flowers
And even little vegies.
until they had
Had that magic number!
3, 6, 9,
12, 15, 18.
21, 24, 27, 30
new things!
They multiplied
It's the magic
'Numbers'
Nature plus people
They're the magic
'number'.
Allison

Spring Chicken

No spring chicken for me,
No Siree,
No spring chicken for me!
No way!
Cause I don’t got no mo' money, honey,
And the old fall chicken's fine,
Frozen is just fine, oh honey!
I’ll thaw out that old chicken to dine!
And It’ll taste just fine, now honey,
It's gonna be just fine!
There’s more than one kind of old cold chickens
I'll learn the new form of math and
We will all be just fine, yes siree, we will be just fine!
Chicken Scratch!

April 6th
Spring Rain, Fall Gold

Now makes me feel old
If I work hard I feel the best
I go to sleep early and get my rest.
I have to do it every day
Or I won't, ya know, but hey!
I got over it and so will you
Spring brings the rain
If we don't get more sunshine
Autumn will be disdained!

Spring is nature's way of saying, "Let's party!" ~ Robin Williams

Nature shows us how to party
Wait, wait, wait.
Wait some more
Hide, hide, hide like Mork from Ork
Sleep, rest, warm
Can do no harm!
Just a little warmer now and some light!

In a minute you’ll have grown so big!
If you don’t move around
It’ll be a big sin!
Since we all have to do it,
Let us do it together.
Partying’s good in all sorts of weather.
We’re just happy to rhyme and measure!

If we be blown, we’ll dance up the waltz.
It we get cold, we’ll prance to the fox trot.
Finally the sun will grow us up! Way UP!
Next we can dance with the birds and such!
Do the Cha Cha, if you please!
Allison

And my friend Mr. Robin says;
No matter what anybody tells you, words & ideas can change the world.

One Flower Does Not Bring Spring

“Abigail, Abigail, where do you go?”
“Up the high hillside to follow that doe.”
“Abigail, Abigail, there’s no deer to see.”
“Oh no? Well she led me right under that tree!
And find there, I may see, the single white star!
I wish to see if the spring is close or far!”
“Abigail, Abigail, don’t go tonight!
And don’t ever pick it, it won’t grow back right!
It also will curse you and stunt your young life,
Seven long years til it’s back with your strife!”
“Oh sir I will not! I just need to see!
If one little flower will want to pick me?
I am the fountain of joy, don’t you see!”
“Yes you are my dear sweet spring spree!”

I am glad, for heavens sake!

Spring forward, fall back
Time is illusive
Time is supreme
I am so tired when
Time gets changed
Can't we do it another way?

Dedicated to Charlie for his birthday!
Hey Charlie,
Do you know Bob Marley?
He sung reggae in a special rhyme way.
Here's a quote you might like to know,
From Bob Marley's immortal soul;
"Don't worry about a thing,
Every little thing is gonna be alright”
Hope your birthday is out of sight! (old slang for 'fun')

Good Morning!

Some day I will tell you a tale.
A story worth telling ~ my life.
You won't know what hit you,
You'll roll over laughing,
I'll fix you a yarn that is rife!
Go and make yourself a GREAT DAY!!!

To All of Those That We Love~~~

Speaking softly wasn't always my strongest suit,
But today I was moved to learn an aged old virtue.
As a child I was shy, but I don't think anyone knew that or maybe…
I tried too hard, I drank too much, I talked over people.
I wanted to get over it, and thought that was the way.
I made big mistakes and made sure everyone knew it.
Then I was ashamed. I wanted to live down those mistakes.
I was reclusive, I was lost, I was torn.
I yelled, I threw fits; I searched for the ‘answer’ that
No one could tell me.

Time took care of it after all.
I want to cry out like the proverbial 'Town Crier',
But this is neither the time nor the place.
My solace today is quietness and peace.
In that quiet I found myself.
My self that is small and awake.
That self that doesn't have words at all sometimes,
And sometimes has just a couple, at others it is dictionary.

Quietness,
It softened me; which is, I suppose, the point.
I know that when I heard of a friend taking
A hiatus from speech, I longed for it.
I also know that, when I am quiet, I feel freedom.
When I am quiet, I am more open.
I think I fear my emotions being seen there,
But I did it anyway, and I felt them.

I will go to the mountain, next time I need to ‘cry’, shout, or howl!
I will go to the sea at the storm time when I am so moved.
I will sit quietly with nature and be revealed for this time.
I will sit quietly with nature and ‘see’.
Thank you for those lessons.
I know that love lost is not wasted.
I know it is better to have loved and lost,
Than not to have loved at all.

I am overwhelmed with our family today
That faced their loss and move boldly forth.
They did what they needed to do for them.
I am proud to call them family.
I am humbled to have been in their presence this day.
I am forever moved, and will live the rest of my life
With the memory of their heroic stance at that darkness,
And at their light.
Thank you for our family.

Spring Smash

Oh, Spring you are elusive!
How fast a day can go when played in your presence.
My children are grown,
They are in the spring of thier lives and
Their lives are busy and bright!
Thank you!

Just want to slow down and sing!
Listen to the birds and the bees
Rain and the Trees!
Have a brilliant season.
The spring smash has truly begun.

But, knowledge built the tree house to dream/imagine in!

Pete Nelson is a rare triple threat: a writer, photographer and a treehouse builder. Nelson is also an architect and contractor, as well as a family man, and he has spearheaded a growing treehouse revival that inspires the kid in all of us. Nelson's latest book, New Treehouses of the World, takes us on a fantastical voyage through secret hideouts and dream forts, from Long Island to Thailand and many places in between.
Nelson, who designs and builds the playful structures through his Seattle-based company TreeHouse Workshop, Inc., believes they help children and adults alike reconnect with nature, as well as enjoy family time. Nelson encourages us to "let go of earthbound encumbrances and be free." Continue to see some of the world's most freeing spaces.

June 1st and the Midnight Summer's Dream

Ode to this beautiful time on earth.
The one where we were all birthed.
To learn from it is at all intense.
The lessons are all so immense. Unless they are modest.
To all of my fellow travelers converge.
And we'll learn from each other or we'll even merge.
To one another where we came and to where we go?
Does anyone ponder these things or say,
I have to now, I have you today??
What of tomorrow, where will we all go?
Or does it even matter how one doth flow?
Forever onwards to what, do we know?
Do we need to identify,
Or are we all where we should already be for?
And after.

My personal rhyme of the day.
Please listen and don't think I'm astray.
I may always have been this way,
I may not want to be any other day.
We might meet and say, yes we are and here we are now,
Or when we go will we go far?

I only know I am so glad for all of the times and places we've all had.
And to you who consciously make a difference, thank you and blessings and happily puristic!
And not to say we don't always any way make a difference how ever it is deemed.
For this I know to be true, do you?
Have impeccable speech
Speak only in Truth. Even if our truths vary, they are easier to read.
Don't take anything personal.
Don't make assumptions.
Do your Best.

Peace out!

Banana This; Recycle Old Peels~ fertilizer or silver polish

There are things you can do with that old peel.

1. Do you have a green thumb? House hold plants and outside gardens require fertilization. A great way to give your plants nutrients is with a banana peel. The banana peel is very rich in potassium and phosphorus, which give that added boost to your plants soil, especially so with roses. Here is how to use a banana peel to fertilizer your soil for your plants. Remove the peel from the banana. Place the banana peel on a cookie sheet to let it air dry. Grab a paper bag or envelope. Crumble the dried banana peel and place it in the bag. Let the banana sit at room temperature for about two days. When your caring for your plant, give it a potassium treat of crumbled banana peel. Mix well in the soil to ensure the roots are fed evenly.
2. Have you been thinking about pulling out that old silver? Well there is no time like the present. Bananas peel can also be used to polish silver. Yes, polish silver. Take the old peels and place them in a blender. You want the peels to become smooth and creamy. Once they have, grab a cloth and small amounts of the creamed banana peel and begin polishing your silver. The shine will be breath taking.

SOURDOUGH STARTER with WILD YEAST

SOURDOUGH STARTER with WILD YEAST
Wild yeasts exist in the air around you and to some extent on the wheat berries. There are wild yeasts on grapes (unsulphured) and apples and other fruits. It is those wild yeasts which are 'captured' to make a sourdough starter. The process takes from 3 to 5 days. I wish I had specific amounts for you, but you could start with 1/4 to 1/2 cup of flour and mix in enough warm (not hot) water to make a thin paste. DO NOT make it too soupy. That, in fact, is the trick to a good starter, according to the French bread makers, and I think they should know. And after you've fooled around with the flour and water thing, you might wish to branch out into adding those unsulphured grapes, apples, sour milk, etc as a catalyst in order to capture other strains of yeast. Each of these strains has a slightly different taste. In fact if you move to another area, you might end up with a starter that produces an entirely different flavor. For instance, San Francisco sourdough bread is well known and has a distinct taste due to the wild strains in the air there. On day one you mix the flour and water (and add any catalysts to encourage fermentation) and place in a warm spot. After 3 days, the dough should be moist, inflated, and slightly sour. More flour and water is added (mixed in) and left to sit in a warm spot. After 2 days the process is repeated. Then the next day it is done again. Note the order: 3 days, 2 days, 1 day. At this point you should be able to make a loaf of bread using part of the starter and adding back what you took out in the form of more flour and water. Rule of thumb: Use about 10% starter to size of loaf. In the case of a 2 lb loaf this is a bit over 3 oz of starter (3.2 to be exact). For a 1 lb loaf 1.5 oz would be used. A book that describes this process in great detail is The Village Baker by Joe Ortiz, copyright 1993, published by Ten Speed Press, Berkley CA. If it's not still in print, try the used books stores, that's where I got mine. Or try your local library. If they don't have it, they might be able to get it for you. ©2008 by Ernestina Parziale
